1. Service Overview
AstroLink AI is a mobile application available on Android and iOS platforms. The Service includes access to an AI companion ("Astro") for personal, creative, and productivity interactions, the Astroverse, a positive community feed focused on space, science, technology, AI, and gaming, Friends, Messages, and Group Chats for social interaction, and the Starz Rewards System for eligible users.
AstroLink AI continues to evolve with new features and updates. All new features introduced after this version will remain governed by these Terms unless otherwise stated.
2. Subscription Tiers
AstroLink AI currently offers a Free Tier with limited access and usage caps, and a Plus Tier with expanded limits, exclusive features, and participation in the Starz Rewards System. All payments and subscriptions are processed securely through Google Play (Android) or the Apple App Store (iOS). AstroLink Ltd does not store or handle payment information directly. Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled through Google Play or Apple ID settings. If a payment fails, your account may be downgraded to the Free Tier.
3. Refunds
Refunds are handled solely by the platform where you subscribed. Google Play refunds may be requested through your order history in the Play Store. Apple App Store refunds are managed by Apple via reportaproblem.apple.com. AstroLink Ltd cannot directly issue or override refunds for purchases made through these stores. Refunds are only provided where legally required under applicable consumer laws, including UK or EU consumer protection law.
4. Starz Rewards System
The Starz Rewards System allows Plus users to earn points ("Starz") through eligible activities within the app. When a user reaches 1,000 Starz, they may redeem them for one free month of Plus. Starz have no monetary value and cannot be sold, transferred, or exchanged outside the app. Rewards may be adjusted, reset, or discontinued at AstroLink Ltd's discretion to maintain fairness and prevent misuse. AstroLink Ltd reserves the right to modify or suspend the Rewards System at any time.
5. Account Requirements
To use AstroLink AI, you must be at least 13 years old, or the minimum age of digital consent in your country, for example 16 in the European Union and Australia. You must provide accurate information during signup and maintain the confidentiality of your login credentials. We comply with applicable child-protection and data-protection laws, including the UK Children's Code, EU GDPR Article 8, and US COPPA. Accounts identified as belonging to underage users may be terminated, and related data deleted.
6. Acceptable Use Policy
You agree to use AstroLink AI responsibly and lawfully. You may not post, share, or transmit content that is illegal, hateful, harassing, explicit, or misleading, impersonate others or use offensive usernames or bios, spam, bully, or threaten other users, upload malware, viruses, or copyrighted material without permission, or reverse-engineer, exploit, or resell any part of the Service. Violations may result in suspension or permanent termination of your account without refund.
7. Astroverse Community Standards
The Astroverse is a positive, moderated community designed for sharing content related to space, science, technology, AI, and gaming. You may not post or share political, adult, or sexually explicit content, misinformation, conspiracy theories, or false claims about science or public figures, news or mainstream media links, or content that promotes hate, violence, or discrimination. AstroLink Ltd reserves the right to remove any content, limit account functionality, or ban users who violate these guidelines. Moderation decisions are final and may be enforced without prior notice.
8. Group Chats and Messaging
Users may create and participate in private or group chats. You must not use chats to harass, abuse, or spam others, share offensive, political, adult, or sexually explicit material, or promote scams or third-party advertisements. AstroLink Ltd may monitor and remove harmful content or terminate access to messaging features to maintain community safety.
9. Child Safety and Protection Standards
AstroLink AI is committed to protecting children and maintaining a safe environment for all users. Any form of child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) is strictly prohibited on the platform. This includes content, behaviour, or activity involving the sexual exploitation, sexualisation, grooming, solicitation, or abuse of minors through messages, group chats, profiles, images, community posts, or AI interactions.
AstroLink AI is not intended for children under 13 years old, or under the minimum age of digital consent in the user's country, such as 16 in the European Union and Australia. Users are required to provide accurate date-of-birth information during account creation. Accounts identified as belonging to underage users may be suspended or permanently removed, and associated data deleted.
Users may report content or accounts that violate these standards. AstroLink Ltd investigates reports and may remove content, restrict functionality, suspend, or permanently terminate accounts. Where legally required, suspected illegal activity may be reported to relevant authorities. AstroLink AI uses safeguards designed to prevent the generation or facilitation of harmful content involving minors, and the AI assistant will refuse requests involving sexual or exploitative content related to children.
10. AI Interaction and Limitations
AstroLink AI includes an AI assistant ("Astro") powered by third-party large language models. AI responses are automatically generated and may be inaccurate, biased, or incomplete. AI output should not be used as professional, medical, legal, or financial advice. You are solely responsible for how you use AI-generated information. AstroLink Ltd is not liable for harm, loss, or misinterpretation resulting from AI outputs. AstroLink AI uses artificial intelligence services provided by third-party vendors, including OpenAI. AstroLink Ltd does not control or guarantee the behaviour, accuracy, or availability of any third-party AI model.
11. Data Privacy and Protection
Your data is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Data is securely stored using encryption and access controls. Limited information is shared with trusted partners such as Google and Apple for payment processing and functionality. We comply with the UK GDPR, EU GDPR, and applicable international laws. You may request data access or deletion by contacting contact@astrolinkai.com.
12. Intellectual Property
All rights, title, and interest in the AstroLink AI platform, including its software, design, branding, and content, belong to AstroLink Ltd. User-generated content remains your property, but you grant AstroLink Ltd a limited licence to store, display, and process it within the app.
13. Modifications and Updates
AstroLink Ltd may modify, update, or discontinue parts of the Service at any time for security, legal, or performance reasons. You will be notified of major changes via in-app notice or email. Continued use after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
14. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or community standards, your account remains inactive for an extended period, or continued use poses legal or technical risks. Upon termination, access to your account and data will be revoked. Data may be deleted unless retention is required by law. No refunds are issued for the remaining subscription period unless legally required.
15. Disclaimer of Warranties and Limitation of Liability
AstroLink AI is provided "as-is" and "as available." We do not guarantee uninterrupted service or error-free operation. To the fullest extent permitted by law, AstroLink Ltd is not liable for data loss, service interruptions, or technical issues, user content or messages shared within the app, inaccurate or unsafe AI outputs, or indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
16. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Kingdom, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Disputes should first be raised via contact@astrolinkai.com for informal resolution. If unresolved, disputes may be brought before the courts of the United Kingdom.
