1. Introduction

AstroLink AI ("we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your information when you use our mobile applications and services on Android and iOS platforms.

2. Information We Collect

We collect the following types of information.

Personal information such as name, email address, and date of birth, which is used for age verification and legal compliance. Account data including username, bio, and profile picture. Usage data including chat interactions, message history, live web search queries (where applicable), Starz rewards balance, and general app activity. Device information such as device model, operating system, and approximate location derived from IP address. Community and messaging data including messages, friend lists, group chat participation, comment reactions (for example likes and hearts), nested replies, and author tags.

Integrated third-party data: when you choose to use integrated features like our "Draft in Gmail" option, we may access your basic Google account data via secure OAuth authentication web views exclusively to execute the requested command (for example auto-creating an editable message draft in your Gmail account). We do not store or read your other emails.

3. Legal Basis for Processing

We collect and process your data to perform our contract with you, to comply with legal obligations such as age restrictions and data protection laws, for our legitimate interests including improving performance and securing the platform, and with your consent where required, such as for optional marketing communications or initializing third-party API OAuth logins.

4. AI Disclaimer

Astro is powered by artificial intelligence. While we aim to provide helpful and accurate responses, AI output may sometimes be inaccurate, biased, or outdated. You agree not to rely on Astro for medical, legal, financial, or life-critical advice. AstroLink AI uses AI services provided by third-party vendors, including Google (Gemini) and other AI providers where applicable. Responses are generated automatically under their respective usage policies. AstroLink Ltd does not control or guarantee the accuracy or behaviour of third-party AI systems. When you interact with Astro, your chat inputs are processed securely through our infrastructure and sent to third-party AI providers (such as Google Gemini) via APIs. We do not share personally identifiable information (such as your email address or real name) with these third-party AI models, and inputs are transmitted securely solely to generate the AI's response.

5. Data Storage and Security

We store your data securely using Supabase and related infrastructure. Security measures include encryption in transit using HTTPS and encryption at rest, role-based access control, monitoring and logging for unauthorised access attempts, and rate-limiting and firewall protections.

6. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We may share limited data with trusted providers for legitimate operational purposes, including Supabase for secure data storage, AI service providers (such as Google) for processing AI interactions and, where applicable, live web search queries for eligible subscription tiers, and Google and Apple for app distribution, authentication, secure API integrations, and platform analytics. When utilizing inline third-party feeds (such as the YouTube iFrame API), your device interacts directly with those platforms under their native privacy guidelines. Data may also be shared with legal authorities when required to comply with applicable laws.

7. International Transfers

Data may be processed in the United Kingdom, the European Union, or other regions where our infrastructure partners operate. We ensure adequate protection by using providers that comply with GDPR and UK data laws and by applying safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses where applicable.

8. Your Rights

If you are in the United Kingdom, European Union, or other regulated regions, you have rights to access your personal data, correct inaccurate or outdated data, request deletion of your account and related data, object to certain data uses, and request data portability. 9. Your Controls and Choices

You can manage your personal data through in-app settings or by contacting us. You may request account deletion at any time, opt out of marketing emails, manage notifications, and request to export your data for review.

10. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as necessary for operational and legal reasons. Messages and rewards data may be stored temporarily for account continuity. Daily message usage counts may be temporarily stored to manage subscription limits and are reset automatically every 24 hours. Push notification payload elements (for example comment reaction alerts) are processed immediately. Upon account deletion, residual data may remain in backups for a limited retention period.

11. Age Restrictions

You must be at least 16 years old to use AstroLink AI. We do not knowingly collect or maintain data from individuals below this age. Our onboarding and registration systems automatically enforce this verification limit. If we discover that an account belongs to anyone under the age of 16, it will be deleted immediately along with all associated data. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child under 16 has created an account, please contact us at contact@astrolinkai.com. We will take immediate steps to verify, delete the account, and permanently remove all associated data from our systems.
