We collect the following types of information. Personal information such as name, email address, and date of birth, which is used for age verification and legal compliance. Account data including username, bio, and profile picture. Usage data including chat interactions, message history, Starz rewards balance, and app activity. Device information such as device model, operating system, and approximate location derived from IP address. Friend and messaging data including messages, friend lists, and group chat participation.

3. Legal Basis for Processing

We collect and process your data to perform our contract with you, to comply with legal obligations such as age restrictions and data protection laws, for our legitimate interests including improving performance and securing the platform, and with your consent where required, such as for optional marketing communications.

4. AI Disclaimer

Astro is powered by artificial intelligence. While we aim to provide helpful and accurate responses, AI output may sometimes be inaccurate, biased, or outdated. You agree not to rely on Astro for medical, legal, financial, or life-critical advice. AstroLink AI uses AI services provided by third-party vendors, including OpenAI. Responses are generated automatically under their respective usage policies. AstroLink Ltd does not control or guarantee the accuracy or behaviour of third-party AI systems.

5. Data Storage and Security

We store your data securely using Supabase and related infrastructure. Security measures include encryption in transit using HTTPS and encryption at rest, role-based access control, monitoring and logging for unauthorised access attempts, and rate-limiting and firewall protections.

6. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We may share limited data with trusted providers for legitimate operational purposes, including Supabase for secure data storage, OpenAI for processing AI interactions, and Google and Apple for app distribution, authentication, and platform analytics. Data may also be shared with legal authorities when required to comply with applicable laws.

7. International Transfers

Data may be processed in the United Kingdom, the European Union, or other regions where our infrastructure partners operate. We ensure adequate protection by using providers that comply with GDPR and UK data laws and by applying safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses where applicable.

We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as necessary for operational and legal reasons. Messages and rewards data may be stored temporarily for account continuity. Upon account deletion, residual data may remain in backups for a limited retention period.

11. Age Restrictions

You must be at least 13 years old, or the minimum age of digital consent in your country, for example 16 in the European Union and Australia. We do not knowingly collect data from individuals below this age. If we discover an underage account, it will be deleted immediately along with associated data.
